(Los Angeles, California) – DACSEE (Decentralized Alternative Cabs Serving & Empowering Everyone), a global decentralized ride-sharing platform, is announcing today it is launching its service in the U.S. Currently, DACSEE is available for free download on Android and iOS devices in its pilot launch market, Malaysia. With 30,000 drivers already in the system, DACSEE is an app-accessible platform that is utilizing blockchain technology to decentralize the ride-sharing economy, providing drivers and passengers around the world with enhanced control over their collective ride-sharing experiences.

“A few years ago, companies like Uber and Lyft were considered revolutionary for their disruption of the taxi industry,” says Lim Chiew Shan, the CEO of DACSEE. “However, these companies have fallen short in terms of their ability to support and empower the drivers and passengers who are directly responsible for the explosive growth of the ride-sharing industry. Blockchain has allowed us to autonomously decentralize the entire ride-sharing ecosystem, which puts the control–and money–back where it belongs; in the hands of drivers and passengers.”

DACSEE is entering a market currently congested with technological inefficiencies, unnecessary gatekeepers, profit-siphoning third parties, as well as a range of other limiting factors that only a few years ago were being hailed for positively disrupting the long-standing taxi industry.

The current state of the ride-sharing industry leaves much to be desired. Among the existing shortcomings:

  • Ride-sharing driver income is deteriorating, requiring long working hours to achieve basic financial goals.

  • There is no effective way to build a repeat customer base, so drivers must begin each day at zero.

  • The financial success of existing ride-sharing companies is not being appropriately shared with the very drivers who support and facilitate this success.

Enter DACSEE, the ride-sharing company disrupting the disruptors. On the driver’s side, DACSEE gives individuals control over their own data and network which lets them build a customer base, develop their own fleet of other drivers, and create their own personal business that can grow based on the quality of service. On the passenger side, the platform lets anyone easily find and book rides, save preferred drivers to their Circle of Friends (COF) to establish recurring-ride connections, and make friends in the process through DACSEE’s community groups and trip companions; a nearby person randomly selected to chat with each passenger throughout the ride. Additionally, both drivers and passengers receive incremental bonuses for their contribution to the platform’s success in the form of DACSEE cryptocurrency tokens.

DACSEE is experiencing significant success thus far, has raised $26 million USD to date while launching in Malaysia with more than 30,000 drivers already signed up on the platform. The company is currently offering its DACSEE Token cryptocurrency for purchase via a live Initial Coin Offering (ICO) that ends in mid-July.

While existing ridesharing options are often overly-controlling and financially disempowering to the very people who rely on them, DACSEE’s use of blockchain technology allows for a largely autonomous system that appropriately compensates and rewards those who utilize it. It is designed to be self-sustaining in the long term, powered by the non-profit foundation that controls DACSEE to enable drivers to make a livable income from their work. Also, it’s simple and enjoyable to use. So, with both drivers and passengers growing increasingly dissatisfied with existing ride-sharing options, DACSEE is eliminating technological roadblocks and returning control to the real people who work and travel within the wide world of ride-sharing.
