• Bitcoin ETFs saw selective inflows, with IBIT and Grayscale Mini Trust leading gains.
  • Ethereum ETFs faced broad withdrawals, led by Fidelity and BlackRock’s large redemptions.
  • Diverging ETF flows show investor confidence in Bitcoin, while Ethereum faces selling pressure.

The most recent update on cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) shows different patterns between Bitcoin ETFs and Ethereum ETFs, with investor allocations shifting in opposite directions. Data published by Lookonchain shows minor inflows into selected Bitcoin products, while Ethereum funds experienced large outflows.

Bitcoin ETFs Register Selective Inflows

Total holdings across all Bitcoin ETFs stood at 1.29 million BTC. Despite this large base, daily activity reflected a net outflow of 1,586 BTC, equivalent to $175.69 million. Over a seven-day period, cumulative redemptions totaled 2,638 BTC.

Some issuers, however, attracted new capital. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) reported 1,226 BTC in daily subscriptions and 4,700 BTC in weekly inflows, making it the largest gainer among peers. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust also posted a smaller but positive figure, adding 257 BTC during the same period.

The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) faced the largest daily outflow, with 1,141 BTC withdrawn. Its total balance now stands at 42,314 BTC valued at $4.69 billion. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) also posted a daily loss of 1,068 BTC. Other funds, including the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB), Valkyrie Bitcoin Fund (BRRR), and Invesco Galaxy Bitcoin ETF (BTCO), showed modest but consistent withdrawals.

Ethereum ETFs Face Substantial Redemptions

While Bitcoin ETFs displayed a mixture of inflows and outflows, Ethereum ETFs reported distinct weakness. Combined holdings across nine funds amounted to 6.5 million ETH, yet daily net redemptions totaled 81,821 ETH, worth $93.08 million. Weekly activity produced a more detailed picture, with more than 103,000 ETH leaving these products.

The Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH) accounted for the largest share of withdrawals. The fund shed 50,664 ETH in one day and more than 71,000 ETH across the week. BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), despite holding 3.71 million ETH, also faced sustained selling pressure, losing 43,700 ETH during the same period.

The only bright spot came from the Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust (ETHE), which received inflows of 5,928 ETH on the day and 6,799 ETH over the week. This performance marked one of the few cases of investor accumulation in the Ethereum ETF category.

Divergence in Crypto ETF Flows

As reported in our previous post, the contrast between Bitcoin ETFs and Ethereum ETFs illustrates how investors are positioning themselves differently across digital assets. Despite overall outflows in the Bitcoin sector, IBIT and Grayscale’s mini product managed to secure demand, suggesting selective confidence in established or cost-effective structures. Ethereum products, on the other hand, showed broad-based withdrawals, led by large-scale redemptions from Fidelity and BlackRock-managed funds.
