The CEO of Overstock, Patrick Bryne resigned suddenly August 22nd 2019, in order to go public with allegations of abuse of power by former FBI Director James Comey who was at the center of the Russia-Trump investigation.

According to CCN anchor Chris Cuomo, CNN has confirmed with Department of Justice officials that Patrick Bryne’s account provided to the DOJ contained facts not known to the public, which is considered corroboration that Dr. Bryne’s story is true.

Further supporting Dr. Bryne’s story, I have a source close to this matter who has personally told me he witnessed aspects of Dr. Bryne’s story as it occurred that match what he is now saying publically. So what is Dr. Bryne’s story and how does it involve blockchain?

Patrick Bryne and Blockchain

Patrick Bryne is a highly regarded member of the crypto community. In 2014 Overstock became the first billion-dollar company to accept Bitcoin as a payment option. That was Patrick. Later that same year the work on tZero began which aims to remove corruption and high fees from the equities trading market. That was Patrick. In 2019 the world’s first central bank backed by cryptocurrency was launched. That was Patrick. Dr. Patrick Bryne is a pioneer in the blcokchain world because he sees how it can help us all. Helping the world…that is Patrick.

Patrick Bryne and Russia

In 2015 Patrick Bryne was approached by someone who turned out to be an agent of the Russian government. Dr. Bryne reported contact to the authorities who he says first approved, then encouraged, then directed, and later ignored his relationship with this Russian agent. Later this Russian agent would be sentenced to 18 months in a federal penitentiary for failing to register as a forging agent, possibly a plea deal, but clearly a conviction for a serious crime. This agent was then placed in solitary confinement for 10 months, the harshest of ways to spent time in a prison.

Patrick Bryne and the Men in Black

According to Dr. Bryne, after he reported contact with this Russian agent, honorable US law enforcement personnel, he calls “the men in black,” approached him and asked for his help which he happily agreed. But eventually things went south. First, orders he now believes came from James Comey were that Dr. Bryne should engage in a sexual relationship with the Russian agent in order to obtain more information from her.

Later, when she lost interest in the Hillary Clinton campaign and only focused on Trump, Cruz, and Rubio campaigns, orders he believes from Comey were to ignore any further information from his interactions. Other aspects of Dr. Bryne’s account are harder to follow but seem to involve an attempt to blackmail Secretary Hillary Clinton and of course, the eventual investigation into President Trump’s ties to Russia which is currently still leading to a possible impeachment in the House of Representatives.

Was this Russian agent the only reason for the Trump Russia investigation? No. But it may have played a large role and according to Dr. Bryne, not only did Comey and other senior officials know she was active in the US, they encouraged it and later claimed she was a threat and placed her in prison. Why would senior officials at the head of the FBI allow a threat free reign in the US? Why would they recruit a US billionaire and self-proclaimed libertarian to help control her? Bryne says he has lot more of this story to tell.

Patrick Bryne and the Fight for the Truth

Dr. Bryne has always been a champion of justice. He took on Wall Street and that cost him millions of his own money, along with friends, and hurt his business. But he did it because it was the right thing to do. A man like that does not take these actions without careful thought.

During multiple interviews on August 22, 2019 Dr. Bryne almost came to tears when talking about the need for people to speak out against the injustices that are dividing the nation. Dr. Bryne does not have a history of being wrong, of lying, or of picking his fights lightly…rather he has a history of being right on e-commerce and blockchain, telling the truth about Wall Street, and then fighting Wall Street and eventually winning in that the practice he fought against was ruled illegal – a fight he won for all of us. In totality, it seems likely Dr. Bryne is telling the truth here, so buckle up, more is coming.
