Not only has the sporting world accepted cryptocurrencies, but it has also welcomed the latest trend in the crypto world, NFTs, (Non-fungible tokens). Cryptocurrencies are rapidly gaining popularity in the sporting world thanks to the lucrative nature of NFTs. Some crypto projects have released blockchain-based fantasy football games, which included different national teams and club sides.

Several sports stars have already enlisted in the booming NFT space, including current superstars like French forward, French forward, Manchester City’s centre half, Ruben Dias, Atletico Madrid’s record striker, João Félix, and Paris Saint-Germain’s goalkeeper, Keylor Navas, but a recent report from  Binance revealed that older legends of the game had opened their arms to the NFT trend.

Binance announced  that the highly anticipated NFT Game Cards starring former football legends Alessandro Del Piero, Christian Vieri, and Gabriel Batistuta was made available on the Binance NFT Marketplace yesterday, November 15, until 3 p.m. p.m. on Saturday (UTC)

What’s in the New Collection?

Dubbed ‘Return of Legends S2,” this collection is a game card that comes in three different versions: rare, epic, and legendary. The series will depict the greatest moments of these three soccer superstars and will be sold via auction in Mystery Boxes containing about 12 000 NFT game cards.

The collection will be auctioned off exclusively on YouTube, with former Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero appearing in a “Ask Me Anything” session with Binance CEO.
