The global adoption of cryptocurrency has taken another big leap as search engine giant Google announced a partnership with a crypto-based organization. Google will be joining other multinational corporations such as Twitter, Facebook, and the likes to team up with crypto forces to forge the future. This crypto adoption has even spread into the sporting community, with the MLA alongside some of its top stars like Stephen Curry becoming crypto ambassadors. Also, the French team Paris Saint-Germain joined the train with a recent partnership with a crypto firm, but Google’s announcement has sent waves of excitement throughout the crypto world.

Google Opens The Door To Mass Cryptocurrency Adoption

Google  Partners with Dapper Labs

The search engine giant has put itself in a pole position to become a key player in the next generation of the worldwide web heralded by the blockchain. A combination of Google and Blockchain is bound to become a match made in heaven. According to reports, Google clouds partners with  Canada-based blockchain studios Dapper Labs to facilitate new Web 3 products and services and support the booming non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace.

The popular NFT collections have become the new face of cryptocurrency, and Google has shown its ambition by teaming up to support it and the growing crypto gaming community. The partnership will see the media giant support and scale Dapper’s Flow blockchain. The news of this partnership was confirmed by Dapper Labs’ CEO Roham Gharegozlou, who took to his Twitter page to give a warm welcome to Google to the Flow blockchain.

The vice president of Google Cloud North America, Janet Kennedy, explained that this lucrative partnership would provide the platform for Dapper to grow and expand its operations through a scalable and secure infrastructure that Google will provide.

Dapper’s stats show them to be a worthy partner. Reports have it that Dapper users carry out five hundred thousand to a million transactions a week, making the NFT platform the fourth largest in terms of sales volume. With Google Cloud acting as a network provider for the Flow network, one can only expect mouth-watering results.

Already, the Flow network has more than 50 applications that it supports in addition to some other well-known NFT collections such as NBA Top Shot and CryptoKitties. The partnership will yield more rewards for Dapper, as confirmed by its CEO Roham Gharegozlou, who noted that over n 2,000 developers who are building on Flow will finally be able to connect  Flow access nodes with lower latency using Google’s portfolio of cloud services.

Although almost a third of the internet is being powered by centralized servers provided by Amazon Web Services, a change is expected in the coming days as the new blockchain-based system will be powered by a network of several computers that perform different services.

The NFT Revolution

The growth of NFTs has been observed worldwide, and key players are taking a role in it. Earlier this year, basketball icons  Michael Jordan and Kevin Durant teamed up with other investors in supporting  Dapper’s $305 million funding round, seeing that the project is bound to make waves. Thus, what started as an unknown concept in the crypto world has grown into the most profitable aspect of crypto, breaking records and fostering more cryptocurrency adoption.
