- Linea dominated Layer 2 projects with 9,700 posts and 3.1M interactions.
- Mantle showed higher engagement rates despite fewer posts compared to Starknet.
- Celo achieved 1.4M interactions, proving strong impact with limited contributions.
Layer 2 projects have emerged as a focal point of online discussion, with new rankings from Phoenix Group and LunarCrush highlighting which networks generated the highest levels of engagement. The study examined community posts and interactions over 24 hours, providing a clear view of which networks commanded the most attention.
Linea secured the top spot among Layer 2 projects, with 9,700 engaged posts and 3.1 million interactions. These figures placed it well ahead of other protocols and made it the most visible network during the reporting period. No other project approached its scale, making Linea the dominant driver of community activity.

Close behind, Starknet and Mantle produced different outcomes. Starknet drew 2,900 engaged posts, resulting in 253,200 interactions. Mantle generated fewer posts, at 2,500, but achieved 511,600 interactions. The results showed Mantle’s community responded more intensively to content, while Starknet benefited from a broader base with lower interaction per post.
Mid-Tier Activity Across the Sector
Immutable X and Stacks ranked in the mid-tier group. Immutable X reported 2,000 posts and 415,900 interactions, reflecting consistent activity within its gaming and NFT-focused community. Stacks followed with 1,800 posts and 217,100 interactions, maintaining steady interest in Bitcoin-layer scaling conversations.

Other protocols, including Zora, Celo, Arbitrum, Optimism, and zkSync, each generated between 1,300 and 1,700 posts. Celo stood out by recording 1.4 million interactions despite relatively few contributions. This indicated that specific announcements or campaigns achieved significant reach beyond its direct community.
Competitive Signals in Layer 2 Projects
The rankings revealed how Layer 2 projects approach community building through different engagement strategies. Some relied on large posting volumes that translated into moderate interaction levels, while others concentrated on fewer but more impactful posts. Mantle exemplified the latter, while Linea showed how scale and responsiveness can combine to produce leading results.
Celo’s performance highlighted the influence of targeted communication, proving that a limited number of posts could still achieve high levels of interaction. Immutable X and Stacks contributed steady mid-tier activity, underscoring the diversity of approaches across the sector.
Phoenix Group and LunarCrush’s data presented a snapshot of competitive dynamics within Layer 2 projects. Linea held a decisive lead, while Starknet, Mantle, Immutable X, and Celo maintained meaningful levels of traction. Together, the results showed how different protocols activated their communities and secured visibility in an increasingly contested market.
