NEO Blockchain, renowned for bringing blockchain technology to the layman, has associated with LEDGER. The partnership, according to the NEO, is directed at building the Next Generation Internet. NEO also aids in digitizing crypto assets using smart contracts.

A blockchain is no longer a medium for digital assets only. Actors use it in various other sectors, as well — for instance, logistics, mining, governance, healthcare, election, and charitable giving.

Similarly, the founder and global development CEO of NEO, ‘Da Hongfei,’ thinks that the blockchain technology is about to enter the Next Generation Internet space.

NEO is not the only platform to join the LEDGER Supportive Partner network. Other members of the partnership include blockchain organizations like the IOTA Foundation and the Ethereum Foundation.

Founded in November 2018, LEDGER’s primary goal is to “promote alternative models where data is a common good possessed by citizens and wealth created by data-driven platforms is equally distributed.”

After its launch, the EU started supporting the program. Thus, it has contributed around €200,000.

Alongside funding, the ledger also operates a “venture builder program.” It assists firms looking to build projects, distributed ledger technology, and peer-to-peer projects.

The program also gives about one year of limited access to business mentors, camps, technological coupons, and training. Successful applicants will have an opportunity to communicate with an “expert researcher” in the LEDGER residence. She/he will guide the team throughout the project.

LEDGER is presently accepting its second round of applications. It intends to endorse 32 projects and help build a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). The application will span from Nov. 1, 2019,- Jan. 20, 2020.

LEDGER is scanning for proposals that will positively affect sectors like public services, health, mobility, economy, energy, and sustainability open innovation.

On the other hand, NEO also recently partnered with the ‘Celer Network.’
