Despite the drawn-out crypto winter, the play-and-earn game Anomura debuted its NFT collection, selling out within hours and becoming the top trending collection on OpenSea days after launching. The game’s collection even climbed to no. three in daily trade volume behind RTFKY by Nike and Otherside by YugaLabs. Users who minted earned tenfold on their investment by day three.

This comes on the heels of Anomura’s partnership in September with Atari, a founding member of the arcade game, game console, and personal computer industries. Anomura’s partnership with one of the founding brands of modern gaming represents only the latest in a string of bridges between blockchain and traditional gaming, which has manifested itself in partnerships and traditional-gaming professionals pivoting to blockchain.

 

Launched in 2022 by NFT Game Director Long Do, Anomura features innovative blockchain mechanics, beautiful pixel art, and contributions to wildlife initiatives. Beyond generating a dynamic gaming experience, Anomura is carbon-neutral, raising wildlife-conservation awareness through Web3 gaming that focuses on inclusivity and accessibility for all. 

 

Through a recent partnership with Aerial, Anomura has gone beyond carbon neutrality to become “Ocean Positive” by helping kelp restoration (brown algae seaweed) in Southern California and planting mangrove forests in Indonesia. Anomura utilized the Aerial platform to calculate and balance the carbon footprint of all its Ethereum transactions.
