Earlier today, the creator of a major cryptocurrency mining product Honeyminor, Stax Digital, revealed its acquisition with an AI and blockchain company, Core Scientific. Core Scientific, with this deal, is bringing in the key assets of Stax Digital, including Honeyminer’s intellectual property and staff.

Established in July last year, Honeyminer has become the leading software for GPU cryptocurrency mining for personal computers. The platform was initially only available on Windows and MacOS.

As of now, Core Scientific is available on nearly 1,400 different GPU models, and is planning to use the IP and blockchain expertise from Stax Digital, for its monitoring and management solutions Minder and its operating system, MinderOS.

In a statement, the firm also added that MinderOS will apply mining solutions natively.

Kevin Turner, the CEO of Core Scientific, said that Honeyminer’s team and IP has a great potential for his company’s existing products. He added:

Their IP and proven experience in blockchain will enable us to continue enhancing the capabilities of our best-in-class blockchain hosting and application solutions.”

Previously, Noah Jessop, the CEO of Honeyminer, said that the mining service has been downloaded in nearly 167 countries, or at least in every country where they can offer it legally.

The MacOS team has been developing various projects since its launch this spring, which will purportedly be announced soon by Core Scientific. Jessop stated that the MinderOS platform by Core Scientific was a natural and efficient protocol for Honeyminer, and primarily for Minder.
